Sport anti-doping results revealed

Bermuda sports anti-drug body tested 83 people with four positive results for cannabis, the sports minister told MPs today.

Lovitta Foggo said there were also “two adverse findings” reported by the Bermuda Anti- Doping Authority.

Ms Foggo was speaking as she tabled the 2017-18 financial results for the authority in the House of Assembly.

She said the BADC remained “fully compliant” with international standards and that there had been “extensive compliance” with tests over the year.

The authority was allocated $271,590 for testing for the use of performance-enhancing substances and $133,407 for screening for illegal drugs.

The minister also tabled annual reports for the National Training Board for 2017 to 2019.
