Everest Re Group Ltd has appointed Ike Barbatsoulis as chief reinsurance claims officer for Everest’s reinsurance division.

He will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of the reinsurance claims organisation with continued focus on customer service, increased operational efficiencies, and advanced analytical capabilities.

Mr Barbatsoulis previously held senior positions across Chubb Global Claims, Chubb Services Corporation and Chubb Insurance. Most recently he was senior vice-president for Chubb Global Claims with strategic and operational responsibility for Chubb’s worldwide legal and professional services vendor network. He has more than 29 years’ experience in the claims space.
