Bermudian reinsurer Everest Re Group has hired Jon Levenson from island rival Validus Holdings to be the company’s new head of investor relations.

Mr Levenson will be responsible for investor relations and rating agency relationships and will report to Craig Howie, chief financial officer.

Mr Howie commented, “As Everest’s business diversification and strategy continue to progress we are excited to have someone with Jon’s experience, background and longstanding relationships join the Everest team.”

At Validus, Mr Levenson was previously group treasurer and head of investor relations.

He holds both BA and MBA degrees from Duke University.
