Sun Life Financial International welcomed Team Bermuda athletes at its Hamilton office to celebrate their achievements at the 2019 NatWest Island Games in Gibraltar.

The team won six silver medals and eight bronze medals at the Games.

Sun Life, a sponsor of Team Bermuda at the Island Games since 2015, provided uniforms and accessories to athletes, coaches and executives who travelled to Gibraltar to compete in 14 sports.

Niall O’Hare, chief executive officer of Sun Life Financial International, said: “We are pleased to welcome the athletes at our office. We share their passion for sports, achievement and living healthy lives.”

Sun Life, the company said, is committed to supporting the communities in which its staff live and work. Each year, it said, employees participate in a variety of Bermuda-wide initiatives, including Back to School Extravaganza, Relay for Life fundraiser, coastal beach clean-ups, and many others.
