The Risk and Insurance Management Society’s annual conference, which traditionally attracts a strong contingent from Bermuda, has been cancelled for the first time in the event’s 70-year history.The event was due to take place on May 3 to 6 in Denver, Colorado. Organisers sent out a message today saying they made the decision to cancel, as a result of the Covid-19 crisis, “with a heavy heart”.“As we moved through our own risk management process, assessed the facts, analysed the data and carefully calculated the outcomes of a range of scenarios, it became abundantly clear that this was the best decision for our members, our conference participants, and our employees,” Rims said in a statement today.
