Milan Butterfield got on the scoresheet in Walsall’s 3-2 win away to Lye Town to advance to the second round of the Birmingham Senior Cup on Tuesday night.

Walsall came back from a goal behind after conceding to an early strike from Connor Collins.

Collins’s free kick on the hour mark broke the deadlock, before a forceful strike from Flanagan found the net, with Kouhyar’s precise effort nestling in the bottom-right corner of the goal before the interval.

It was 3-1 soon in the second half as Butterfield finished an attractive flowing move, playing a neat one-two before taking the return into the area and finishing well past Lye’s goalkeeper.

Jack Till pulled a goal back late on.

Butterfield, the Bermuda Under-20 midfielder, joined Vanarama National League North side Leamington on a one-month loan last month.

The 19-year-old penned a new one-year deal with Walsall over the summer.
