Promotion hopefuls BAA have picked up a couple of key signings during the late transfer period with midfielder Drewonde Bascome and goalkeeper Daniel Johnson joining from Dandy Town Hornets and PHC Zebras respectively.
A total of 46 players obtained transfers during the period, which ended yesterday with Bascome linking up again with his father, Andrew Bascome, who is assisting Kenny Thompson with the coaching at BAA.
Town lost three players during the late transfer window, with Jahmel Swan joining Premier Division new boys X-Roads Warriors, while Diaje Hart has moved to Paget Lions, another team pushing for promotion. Paget also picked up Shawki Worrell from Boulevard, Daíkhari Parsons from Devonshire Cougars and Nelson Carpenter from PHC, who also lost Kamau Leverock to BAA.
Darius Coxís move from Robin Hood to Southampton Rangers is confirmed, with six players leaving the Premier Division champions. Three ó Alex Martin, Andre Russell and Shawn Brown ó are off to nearby St Johnís Field.
Omar Wilson has already shown to be a good pick-up for Flanaganís Onions after his spectacular late equalising goal on his debut in the 4-4 draw with X-Roads two weeks ago.
Lejuan Matthews and Anthony Rocker joined Onions from Devonshire Colts and Southampton Rangers and have also made their debuts, Matthews playing in goal last weekend against Boulevard.
Devonshire Cougars have picked up Oronde Bascome and Allan Douglas from St Georgeís, who gained Tayshun Burgess and Caylon Wade from Hamilton Parish.
Hamilton Parish, who lost three players in the late transfer period, take on Paget in the preliminary round of the Shield tomorrow at Police Field while Young Menís Social Club take on Dandy Town in the Friendship Trophy.
Neighbours St Georgeís and St Davidís meet at Lordís in the Shield starting at noon, before Boulevard play North Village in the Friendship Trophy at 2.30.
