The Oakville Blue Devils will look to close out their two-match trip of Bermuda with a victory when they take on the Premier Division All-Star Select at Goose Gosling Field tomorrow at 3pm.

The Ontario league champions were hit by a pair of injury-time goals as they went down 3-1 to a Bermuda National Select at the National Stadium on Thursday night, just as the match was heading to a penalty shoot-out.

Lejuan Simmons netted twice and substitute Jenico Sealey the third following a cross from another Bermuda Select sub, Keishon Bean, four minutes into stoppage time.

Filipe Vilela equalised for the visiting side with a first-half header.

“I’m pleased with our performance but very disappointed in the result,” said Duncan Wilde, the Oakville head coach. “I thought we played well, had good periods of possession but at the end of the game we got caught with some pace and gave away two very poor goals from our point of view.

“All credit to Bermuda, they’ve got some excellent young players and everybody who came out tonight had a good time.”

Scott Morton, coach of league champions PHC Zebras, will coach the All-Star team which contains five players from his club, goalkeeper Shaquille Trott, Kadeem Abraham, Marquel Waldron, Jaheim Iris and Idrees Sharrieff.

Robin Hood have four players in the squad of 20 — Antoine Russell, Chris Caisey, Shakir Smith and goalkeeper Dale Eve — while Dandy Town have three players (Damon Ming, Ernest Trott and Angelo Simmons) and North Village, Devonshire Cougars and Somerset Trojans two players each. Promoted sides BAA and Paget each have one player named.

Kwame Steede, of Dandy Town, and Robert Lee, of Paget Lions, are the assistant coaches.
