Nahki Wells’s Queens Park Rangers were held to a goalless draw at home to Reading in the Sky Bet Championship yesterday.

The stalemate leaves QPR in eighth position, four points adrift of the play-off places.

Steve McClaren, the QPR manager, said: “It took us a while to adjust to the changes we made, but once they did that we caused them problems and but for a great save and the crossbar we’d have won the game.

“The boys in the second half were immense. We should have won the game in the end so we’re a bit frustrated with that. Reading dominated possession in the first half, we couldn’t get near the ball. I was delighted to go in 0-0 at half-time.”

QPR take on Aston Villa at Villa Park tomorrow.

Reggie Lambe’s Cambridge United lost 2-1 at home to leaders Lincoln City in League Two yesterday.

Lincoln went behind to Jabo Ibehre’s first-half strike, but responded courtesy of goals from Neal Eardley and John Akinde to go six points clear at the top.

Lambe, who played the whole game, picked up a yellow card.

Cambridge are away to Milton Keynes Dons tomorrow.
