Nahki Wells says he hopes to “get back on the scoresheet” and help Queens Park Rangers put the brakes on a two-game losing streak in their Sky Bet Championship fixture at home to Blackburn Rovers today.The West London club have suffered successive losses to West Bromwich Albion (2-0) and Cardiff City (3-0) in their previous two league outings with Bermudian striker Wells unable to add to his season account.“Tomorrow is a big one; we play Blackburn at home so we are looking forward to trying to end that two game winless run,” said Wells, who is on loan from Premier League side Burnley.“It has been a poor week so far, but hopefully we can end it in a good manner going into the international break with another three points potentially in and around the top six.“For me, it would be great to come back and represent my country, of course, in good form with a win under our belt and a goal or a few to take into that Mexico match.QPR are 11th in the table, two points outside of the play-off places heading into the fixture at Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.Wells is due to rejoin his Bermuda team-mates during the next Fifa international break for their Concacaf Nations League, League A Group B home fixture with champions Mexico at the National Stadium on October 11.The 29-year-old netted a brace to guide Bermuda to a 2-0 win away to Panama, in the island’s last Nations League outing last month.It was Bermuda’s maiden victory in the inaugural competition and has bolstered their hopes of securing one of the 12 automatic Gold Cup qualifying spots, heading into their remaining group fixtures against Mexico.Wells continued his rich form on his return to QPR from international duty last month, scoring back-to-back braces against Luton Town and Millwall, marking the first time he has achieved the feat in English football. Wells’s impressive goal-scoring exploits earned him the QPR player-of-the-month award for the second time.“September was just a really good month for me; to score four goals in three games and, of course, it’s always good to receive accolades and awards,” Wells said. “I’m really happy with that return and hope that I can continue to have another successful month, which could potentially give myself that opportunity to win such accolades again.”
