Having begun in 1988 as a Gibbons Company event held at Shelly Bay Beach, the triathlon is now hosted by Clarien Bank and is a community-driven event giving the nation’s youth the opportunity to compete in a traditional swim, bike and run junior triathlon.
The event consists of two parts, the Junior Triathlon for children aged 7 to 15 and the Tiny Tots race for children aged 3 to 6.
Former Iron Kids participants include Flora Duffy and Tyler Butterfield, who both continue to represent Bermuda as professional triathletes.
