Chubb upset top seeds Wahoos

Chubb Kings continued their unpredictable ride in the play-offs as they ousted A Division No 1 seeds Blue Wahoos 10-7.

Wahoos got on the board early and ran out to a 7-2 lead after two innings thanks in part to a Troy Dart (2-3) three-run homer.

However, the Kings scored five in the third to knot the score at seven and three more in the sixth to put them ahead.

Chubb had six players go 2-4 with no batter collecting more than one RBI in what was a team effort. Chubb will meet Docksiders in the best of five A Division finals.

Beach Bums scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh to come from behind to beat Raggamuffins 8-7. Courtney Fisher (2-4) scored on a walk-off Ed DeSilva (1-3) single.

Before scoring four in the seventh, Beach Bums had plated all their runs in the third on a Reid Henderson (1-4) grand slam.

Raggamuffins were led by Steve Wallace (3-4) who homered and Josh Thompson and Dajon Carey who were both 2-3.

Their B Division series is now tied at 2-2 with a winner-take-all match scheduled on Tuesday at 7.30pm.

Buffaloes forfeited to Super Express in the C Division finals, and the teams will meet on Tuesday at 6pm to decide the title.

In the Postseason Tournament, Hakuna Matata Charters doubled up Platano Power 20-10, and FIU-Scared Hitless downed Team Smokey 18-10.

The finals in all series should conclude this week with games being played at the Michael Preece Softball Diamond at Bernard Park.
