Hospitality workers will be able to hone trade skills through two new courses being launched this month.

The online courses are being offered by the Bermuda Hospitality Institute.

The course costs $105.

The Trip Advisor Reputation Management Front Line Staff course examines how guest reviews affect revenue generation.

The course costs $60.

Both courses will be completed by Monday, April 30.

The courses are being made available through the American Hotel and & Lodging Educational Institute.

Malika Cartwright, the Executive Director of the BHI, said the organisation was proud to be able to offer the courses “for local hospitality industry professionals looking to enhance their certifications and make a positive impact on the Island’s tourism industry”.

Ms Cartwright added: “By completing either of these certifications from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute, participants will be receiving the ultimate distinction of professional excellence within the hospitality industry and standing out from the competition on the island.”

A number of spring training session opportunities will also be provided by the Bermuda Tourism Authority this month. They will cover topics including business development, conflict resolution, and promotion and delivery of service.
